Me and My Girl

By Noel Gay

Director - Dawn Brown

Musical Director - John Sparrow

Choreographer - Chrissie Hotton

To be performed at The Theatre Royal, Winchester

Wednesday 11th - Saturday 14th May 2022

The musical is set in the late 1930s and tells the story of an unapologetically unrefined cockney gentleman named Bill Snibson, who learns that he is the 14th heir to the Earl of Hareford. In order to claim his inheritance, he must become refined, but hi-jinks ensue...The action takes place in Hampshire, Mayfair and Lambeth. A world of cockney lads and fancy ladies, pearly Kings & Queens mixing with a Duchess or two...

Dawn Brown is a new Director to WMOS and she is very excited to lay out her vision of the production and transport us to pre-WW2 England at our Information Evening in January.  This is when the audition process will be laid out in full, along with the pre-audition rehearsals we'll be going through, as well as explaining the vocal and dance audition requirements.

A heart-warming show full of catchy tunes and well known classics such as The Sun Has Got Its Hat On, Leaning On A Lamppost, and to quote the Times "While dictators rage and statesmen talk, all Europe dances – to The Lambeth Walk."
